After three of unsuccessful rice crops, we have switched over fruit-trees. I have enjoyed a credit and savings group of VBSP and I was voted to be an eligible borrower and received the loan of 5 million dongs approved by the Vietnam Bank for the Poor (currently known as the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies) in 2000. I repaid the loan on due time but I still had a demand for funds for trees and domestic animal switching. I was qualified and approved to get the second loan of 5 million dongs for vegetables production all year round. Successfully I have the annual income of 10-15 million dongs from fruit-trees and vegetable growing plus 3-5 million dongs from domestic animal raising (the annual net income of 20-25 million dongs). Currently 3 of 4 children have grown up and get married and separated from my family. Thanks to loans from VBSP, experiences learned, training on agriculture promotion and our family’s efforts, we are now become better-off, have a flat roof large house equipped with necessary daily facilities.
We would like to express our bottom-heart thanks to the Government and VBSP who give us soft loan and support, to the credit and savings group for fair and transparent selection of my eligibility , the Commune People’s Committee for precise verification.
It is expected that the poor can receive loans of larger size and longer term for better utilization.
