  Social Policy Credit has contributed to the effective implementation of 03 government-funded national target programs period 2020-2025, aiming at different social welfare’s targets. In order to effectively take advantage of the national budgets in invoking the program, VBSP has played an indispensable part as the leading publicly-owned financial institution in providing inclusive financial products & services for the poor and other last-mile population for sustainable poverty alleviation, financial inclusion development and social security to accelerate socio-economic development. Following are the key highlights VBSP has achieved in the result of these 03 national target programs in 2020-2025.

  An online conference between the Board of Directors (BOD) of VBSP and its local representatives was held on June 5, 2025. At the event, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Nguyễn Thị Hồng, Chairwoman of the VBSP BOD, emphasized the importance of maintaining stable and efficient operations of VBSP amid ongoing administrative restructuring and the implementation of national target programs for 2021–2025.

  On May 30, in the Southern region, the Central Emulation and Commendation Board organized an exchange program honoring exemplary individuals and collectives in the emulation movement “For the Poor - Leaving No One Behind”. The event was an opportunity to recognize individuals and organizations with creative approaches and effective models for sustainable poverty reduction.

  As of Apr. 28, 2025, the total outstanding loans of VBSP reached VND 386 trillion (approx. USD 14,9 billion), an increase of VND 18,8 trillion (~USD 723 million) compared to the end of 2024, in which, the total outstanding loan for social housing were VND 10,3 trillion (~USD 397 million), taking account of 2.66% of the total loan portfolio of the whole system. In the first 03 months of 2025, the credit growth of social housings' loan schemes have supported the construction of more than 1,200 residential dwellings for the poor and 1,800 social housings for low-income groups.
