Over 7 VND million housing support for each poor household
The Ministries of Construction, Finance, Planning and Investment, Agricultural & Rural Development and Central Bank of Vietnam have issued a Circular of instructing the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Decision on the housing improvement for the poor. 
Accordingly, the state budget will support at least VND 7.2 million for each family, of which VND 6 million from the state budget and VND 1.2 million from the local budget. For disadvantaged areas, the assistance is maximally VND 8.2 million.Apart from the state assistance, the Bank for Social Policies will also give housing loans worth VND 8 million to each poor family with the interest rate of 3% per year and the 10-year loan term. For forestry areas, the more assistance is 10m3 of round timber for each household. Poor households are certified to get support by hamlets and villages, including: devoted-to-revolution households, ethnic households, poor households in poor districts, natural disaster areas and disadvantaged areas.
