In the context of the high-speed acceleration in the digital economy, promoting financial inclusion and supporting collaborative economic development have been seen as an urgent requirement to strengthen the capacity of whom need to access financial services, especially the vulnerable and those living in rural and mountainous areas. The project “Promoting financial inclusion and collaborative economic development in the digital economy in Vietnam”, led by VCA, in collaboration with TAF, VICEM, VBSP and other partners, is a practical initiative towards this target.

Additionally, the project is expected to concretize the implementation of political tasks reflected in Directives and Policies issued by the Party, Government and State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), especially Circular No. 4189/NHNN-TCCB issued by the Governor of VBSP launching the movements “Nationwide Emulation for Innovation and Digital Transformation” and “Digital Mass Literacy”. It also aims to deepen the cooperative relationship between VBSP and VICEM within the project framework.

With a duration of the project within 24 months (from April 2025 to March 2027), widely deployed in Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Dien Bien, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Gia Lai, An Giang and Can Tho, the project hopes to reach at least 150,000 number of participants in the training program, with priority expectedly given to 60% of women from small and micro enterprises, Cooperatives, production and business households in rural, remote or disadvantaged areas of Vietnam.
