Getting rich from small loans

Thanks to effective co-ordination activities between VBSP and Vietnam Women’s Union in managing and utilizing with right purpose the Government’s preferential loan have created more jobs, increased income and helped poor households to develop their household economies stably, enhancing material and spiritual life for people. Lê Thị Tuyết’s family at Động Lâm commune, Hạ Hòa district, Phú Thọ province is such a typical in utilizing effectively small money to enrich their family.

After getting married, Le Thi Tuyet and her husband lived at their own family without money, tight budget. With essence of a hard-working farmer, she bravely invested in reclaiming soil in mountain areas to start doing business with hope to improve their familyeconomy better than present. Borrowing VND 8 millions from VBSP district’s transaction office to invest in production, she had planted 0,5 hectares of acacia mangium, raised pigs, chickens, ducks. Since then, her family has been prospering, earning tens of millions Dong from animal husbandary every year. Together with taking short-term foster, she had transfered production method, extended animal husbandary facilities size. With enterprising will, knowing to apply technical and scientific in production, planting, raising, developing services, and adding more income from her husband’s carpentry, Tuyet’s family not only escaped from poverty but also built a spacious house, bought home comforts and afforded her children schooling. In addition, she has helped many family of seedlings and   breeding animals, creating more seasonal jobs for people .

Visiting to Tuyết’s family at present, we really admire when seeing their animal farm, store and carpentry workshop, paddy field. They all  have showed us how  busy she is? Hoping with this impetus, Tuyết’s family economy would continue to develop and  members’ families of Women’s Union shall follow her example, using wisely the preferential loans in production, escaping from poverty sooner, stabilizing life and step by step rising up to get rich on their native soil.
