Striving to achieve the highest results of the goals and targets in 2022
(VBSP News) On the morning of February 7, 2022 (ie the 7th day of the Lunar New Year), in Hanoi, VBSP Secretary of the Party Committee, BOD member, General Director Duong Quyet Thang chaired the New Year meeting at VBSP. The meeting was held online to bridge points at VBSP branches in provinces and cities and VBSP transaction offices in districts and towns across the country. Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Pham Thanh Ha attended and wished New Year to the VBSP system.

Attending the New Year meeting were representatives of leaders of some functional departments of the SBV. On the side of VBSP, there were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the VBSP Nguyen Minh Phuong; Head of Supervisory Board Nguyen Manh Tu; the Deputy General Directors; Chief Accountant; President, Vice President of Trade Union; Directors, Deputy Directors of functional departments, Training Center, Information Technology Center and Transaction Office. At branch points of provinces and cities; districts, towns across the country, there were the Board of Directors of branches, heads of functional departments, leaders of Transaction Offices...

At the meeting, on behalf of the Executive Board, General Director of VBSP Duong Quyet Thang emphasized that right from the first days of the year, in order to promptly meet the borrowing needs of policy beneficiaries to develop production and business, units in the system have actively mobilized capital to meet sufficient capital sources for credit growth. By January 31, 2022, total capital reached VND 265,471 billion, an increase of VND 3,940 billion compared to 2021. Total outstanding loans reached VND 250,841 billion, an increase of VND 2,871 billion compared to 2021, a growth of 1.2%. In January 2022 alone, VBSP disbursed to 536 employers with the amount of VND 1,307 billion to pay salaries for 327,133 employees. From the implementation to January 31, 2022, the whole system of VBSP has disbursed to 3,010 employers with the amount of VND 3,623 billion to pay salaries to 930,183 employees; outstanding loans reached VND 3,582 billion.

Speaking at the meeting, SBV Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha recognized and praised the achievements of VBSP in 2021, positively contributing to the overall success of banking industry and country. On this occasion, on behalf of the SBV Board of Directors, Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha wished good health and success to all officers and employees in the VBSP system, especially those working in remote areas, directly deploying credit programs to the poor and other policy beneficiaries.

In the context of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, affecting the economy in 2022 and the following years, with an important task that has just been trusted by the National Assembly and the Government to assign VBSP to deploy the main credit package preferential policies in the program of socio-economic recovery and development in 2022 - 2023 of the Government according to Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP dated January 30, 2022 of the Prime Minister, Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha suggested that the VBSP system be active and drastic right from the first months of the year to deploy effectively to the right customers and the right purposes, contributing to the whole country to soon overcome difficulties, not miss pace with the process of global economic recovery, and create a foundation and favorable conditions for socio-economic development for the whole period of 2021 - 2025 and the following years.
The year 2022 marks an important milestone in the development of VBSP, the SBV Deputy Governor believes that, with a good tradition, a spirit of solidarity, determination to strive and overcome all obstacles and difficulties, VBSP will continue to grow well, develop sustainably and safely, worthy of the trust of the Party, State and people.

On behalf of all staff, officers and employees of VBSP, General Director Duong Quyet Thang wished the SBV Deputy Governor and the SBV Board of Directors for good health and emphasized that the entire VBSP system would unite, strive to overcome all difficulties, successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party and State.
Right at the New Year online meeting, the VBSP system implemented a plan to implement the preferential credit package in the 2022-2023 socio-economic recovery and development program of the National Assembly, Government and credit policies in 2022.
