More than VND 64 billion in savings to join hands for helping the poor

(VBSP News) That is the impressive result on the first day of the "Savings money week to join hands for helping the poor" campaign in 2023 organized by the VBSP branch in Lam Dong province in collaboration with mass organizations in the province. With the motto that one participant sends a little, many participants will create resources and synergy to join hands to help the poor and other policy beneficiaries overcome difficulties and rise out of poverty sustainably, the branch has received more than VND 64 billion from 1,179 customers who are organizations and individuals in the province.

2023 is the third year that VBSP branch in Lam Dong province cooperates with entrusted mass organizations to implement of the "Saving money week to join hands for helping the poor". In 2021 and 2022, the program has been successfully organized with the response of a large number of members, and people in the province who have actively contributed in creating capital to lend to the poor and other policy beneficiaries.
In 2022, despite the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic affecting production, business, trade and service activities, people’s life in the province face many difficulties; however with the central budget and governments at all levels of Lam Dong province have added VND 112 billion entrusted capital to VBSP to lending for poor households and other policy beneficiaries. At the same time, the branch also effectively coordinated with entrusted organizations at all levels, successfully organized a savings week to join hands for helping the poor, and mobilized 2,219 participants with amount of VND 135.3 billion.
In 2023, promoting the tradition of solidarity, mutual love and affection, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation and entrusted mass organizations have issued documents to send to all levels to propagate to union members, workers, officers, laborers and people in the province to practice savings and deposit money into VBSP, in order to supplement capital source for lending to poor households and other policy beneficiaries…
