Effective credit for women in remote areas
Supporting women's economic development and sustainable poverty reduction is one of the key tasks of the Women's Union in Dak Nhau commune, Bu Dang district (Binh Phuoc). With that goal, the Association has implemented many activities to support members and women in economic development. In particular, Union has created conditions for members to access preferential loans from VBSP, helping many women have production and business conditions to increase their income, stabilize their lives and get out of poverty.

Thanks to preferential policy credit, Ms. Thi Geo's family has a herd of 15 cows
Even though the sun was already shining, Ms. Thi Geo (in group 1, Dak Xuyen village, Dak Nhau commune) still patiently waited for her cows eating. The cow herd has been her family's biggest asset. She luckily received the preferential loan from VBSP through Village Women’s Union, then she could develop her cow herd with large number of units.
Ms. Thi Geo said: "Previously, I only raised 3 pigs. Since joining the Village Women's Union, I have been supported with the preferential credit from VBSP through direction of the Head of Union. I took a loan of VND 50 million from the district VBSP. With this money, I bought 3 breeding cows and a few pigs. Till now, my family has 11 pigs and 15 cows."
Like Ms. Geo, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen (in Dak Nung village) also found many benefits when joining the village Women's Association. She not only being regularly invited to attend the Association's activities and get many useful information, but she also has access to preferential loan to develop her family's economy.
Ms. Tuyen shared: "My family currently has 4 hectares of land growing durian, coffee and avocado. I did not have enough money to take care of my garden. In 2023, through the Village Women's Union, I was able to borrow VND 60 million from the district VBSP to buy fertilizers, medicine, and watering systems for durian and coffee gardens. Thanks to that, the recent coffee crop in my family's garden achieved high productivity. This is a great source of encouragement for my family to work hard to develop my economy."
Ms. Doanh Thi Thoa - Chairwoman of Dak Nhau Commune Women's Union said: Currently, Dak Nhau commune has 1,359 women members. Among them, more than 600 members have access to preferential credit from the district VBSP. Preferential loan plays an important role in helping many poor and near-poor women members overcome difficulties and get out of poverty. Since then, many members have become good economic examples with good models being replicated, creating jobs for women members, creating motivation for women in the new era.
Using effectively policy credit from VBSP has contributed to helping many members and women in Dak Nhau commune get out of sustainable poverty and gradually improve their lives better.
