Policy credit activities are always towards the poor, contributing to ensuring social security
From the beginning of 2024, with the motto of “no one left behind due to capital lack”, VBSP Gia Lai Provincial Branch proactively disbursed more than VND 215 billion to 4,541 turns of households to develop production, create jobs, increase income and stabilize their life.
From preferential policy credit, poor households in Gia Lai province developed livestock models that brought economic efficiency
From the beginning of 2024, VBSP Gia Lai Provincial Branch has proactively balanced resources and disbursed loans with the motto of “no one left behind due to capital lack”. From the beginning of the year until now, the whole province has lent more than VND 215 billion to 4,541 turns of household. Total outstanding loans have reached more than VND 6,974 billion with 190,079 households.
Ms. Ro Cham Ani (Jrang village, Ia Ka commune, Chu Pah district) said: "Thanks to VBSP’s loan, my family has conditions for economic development and has a better life. I took a loan from VBSP to develop livestock production, now I have 12 cows that creates a stable source of income. I also take advantage of cow manure to take care for my family's coffee garden of more than 300 trees".
Ms. Nguyen Thi Sau (in village 4, Ia To commune, Ia Grai district) shared: "My family has been facilitated to access to the loans for disadvantaged students, rural safe water and environmental sanitation, livestock production with preferential interest rate. Thanks to policy credit, I could afford to raise 3 children to college and expand rabbit farming to increase my income." Ms. Nguyen Thi Sau's family's rabbit breeding model really brought stable economic efficiency. Her rabbit herd developed to 300 units. After deducting all expenses, the average monthly profit is from VND 4 to 5 million.
With the network of 3,370 Savings and Credit groups throughout the whole province, local people had opportunities to easily access to preferential policy credit. Mr. Ghi - Head of the Savings and Credit group of Jrang village, Ia Ka commune, Chu Pah district said: "I have propagated and disseminated the State's preferential credit programs so that people can understand and decisively take loans to develop production. Currently, local people in need have boldly taken more loans to improve their family economy".
Mr. Doan Ngoc Co - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development informed: "With the participation of authorities at all levels, the agricultural industry has helped local people, especially the poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households, effectively use policy credit to develop production. Many farming and animal husbandry models have been effective, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction, improving people's lives. In 2024, the province's Agriculture sector will continue to effectively support farmers in production, contributing to stabilizing their lives."
In 2024, VBSP Gia Lai Branch would strive to have over 7% of credit growth and make efforts to well carry out the assigned tasks. Besides, the Branch continue to take advantage of centrally allocated capital and local entrusted capital to focus on lending to the poor households and other policy beneficiaries in the area.
