The positive impact of policy credit to the development of craft villages
(VBSP News) Throughout the years, Ha Nam province has always determined that the development of handicrafts and craft villages in rural areas is a new direction to promote rural industrialization and contribute to fulfilling the criteria in building new rural area.
In order to accommodate the loans for poor households and policy beneficiaries, local authorities have cooperated intimately with VBSP to create an opportunity for people to borrow money to maintain jobs and develop local traditional craft villages. Up to now, the total outstanding loan of VBSP in Ha Nam province is over 1,927 billion VND with 70,650 households, in which the outstanding loans for poor households, near-poor households and creating jobs program are VND 140 billion, VND 925 billion and VND 135 billion respectively.

With a loan of VND 100 million from the job creation program, the family of Nguyen Thi Thoa in hamlet 3, Thuy Loi commune, Kim Bang district has had the opportunity to renovate inefficient rice fields into fishponds, raise ducks and plant fruit trees
Phan Duy Hung in Hoi Trung village, Thuy Loi commune, Kim Bang district borrowed VND 40 million from a job creation program for semi-industrial breeding stock of pigs
