More than 14.4 billion dongs for student loans
The Phu Yen branch of VBSP has disbursed more than 14.4 billion dongs phase 2, to make loans for 2,880 students in the 2011-2012 school year. To date, the total account outstanding of students’ loan program in the province has reached nearly 495 billion dongs, accounting for 37.1% of the total gross debt of this bank.
As planned in 2012, the Social Policy Bank, Phu Yen branch will disburse 78 billion dongs to make loans for disadvantaged students in the entire province, who are attending universities, colleges, professional secondary schools in the country to acquit the school fees, living expenses etc. Expectedly, 15,600 students will receive students loans, each can make a loan of 5 million dongs for each semester.
