Lending programme for small and medium enterprises (KfW project)
By the end of 2007, VBSP has released 449 loans to small and medium enterprises for business development and job creation. The project achievements in phase I are recognized by the donor and Government, and the donor have supplemented the second loan of EUR 3.5 million in phase II. Through the project, the target groups of VBSP are extended. Its purpose is to establish a revolving fund to provide loans for SMEs in 21 provinces and cities including VBSP’sTransaction Center, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Ha Giang, Quang Ninh,Son La, Hoa Binh,Dien Bien, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Da Nang, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Dong Nai, Binh Duong,Can Tho, Long An, Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi.
Over the past 11 years of project implementation(2005 - 2016) VBSP has disbursed VND 731 billion for 2,833 SMEs, especially small or newly-established enterprises with total loan portfolio reaching VND 113 billion./.
