Laos Policy Bank - Xiengkhuang branch visits and works at VBSP in Nghe An province

(VBSP News) According to the memorandum of cooperation between the Bank of Policy of Lao PDR (NBB) and VBSP in the period of 2016-2020, from September 8-14, 2019 VBSP Nghe An province worked with delegation of NBB Xieng Khuang to share experiences on policy credit.

Within 7 days, many practical activities have been carried out to enhance experiences sharing in the field of policy credit of VBSP Nghe An and NBB Xieng Khoang branches. The two sides have exchanged views on past activities and drawn lessons for further development. VBSP Nghe An shared contents about process of entrusted lending through mass organizations, the process of establishment, management and operation of Savings and Credit groups, the process of receiving savings deposit, monitor and manage accounting documents and funding mobilization.

In addition, NBB Xieng Khuang branch visited VBSP Nam Dan district transaction office, Nam Linh commune transaction point in Nam Dan district and Nghi Khanh commune in Nghi Loc district. The delegation also visited production and business models of VBSP’s borrowers.

During the meeting to exchange experiences and sum up the exposure visit, Mr. SOMTHAVI SIBOUNMA - Director of NBB Xieng Khuang branch said: “The working time in Vietnam was very effective and practical. On behalf of the delegation, I would like to express my deep gratitude to VBSP in general, VBSP in Nghe An province in particular and the authorities, people, associations and organizations for giving NBB Xiengkhuang branch valuable experiences in the management of capital, entrusted lending through mass organizations, establishment and management of operations of Saving and Credit groups, customer loan management and mobilizing savings deposits through Savings and Credit groups”.
