Effectiveness of activities entrusted between VBSP and socio-political organizations
(VBSP News) The activities entrusted between VBSP and socio-political organizations in Soc Trang province has contributed to improving the quality of policy credit activities, helping poor households and other policy beneficiaries include creating livelihoods and jobs, raising income, and improving the living standard of local people.
Benefiting from policy credit sources, lots of households in Soc Trang province have an opportunity to improve the family economy
Implementation of Decree No. 78/2002/NĐ-CP dated on October 4, 2002 of the Government on credit for poor people and other policy beneficiaries, over 18 years, the implementation with an innovative model of entrusted between VBSP and socio-political organizations has affirmed great and positive effects. The VBSP branch in Long Phu district is one of the effective units in this work. By the end of 2019, the overdue debt is over VND 3.2 billion; accrued interest is over VND 4.8 billion, etc. However, by the end of 2020, overdue debt has decreased by VND 995 million, the overdue debt ratio is reduced by 0.41%; the accrued interest decreased by VND 117 million. The director of VBSP branch in Long Phu district, Mr. Truong Quoc Khanh shared that to achieve the above results, the branch has coordinated with local government and mass organizations to well consolidate and improve the quality of credit operations.
The Veterans Association of Chau Thanh district is also one of an effective unit in entrusted activities for poor households and other policy beneficiaries. Recently, the Association has signed joint documents and entrustment contracts with the representative units of the BOD to convey credit sources to suitable beneficiaries as quickly as possible. Therefore, it meets the aspirations of the majority of people, especially poor households, near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries in the district.
In 2020, the VBSP branch in Soc Trang province and four socio-political organizations continue to coordinate in the effective implementation of the Government's preferential credit program. In particular, policy credit should be disbursed quickly, promptly, to the appropriate beneficiaries. At the same time, the effectively implementing measures constantly consolidate and improve credit quality, preserve and promote capital resources.
The director of VBSP branch in Soc Trang province, Mr. Tran Duy Dong said that the whole province has formed and maintained a 100% entrust network in 109 communes, wards and towns with 3,223 savings and credit groups. There are 14 preferential credit programs with total outstanding loans reaching VND 3,696 billion, helping over 151 thousand poor households and other policy beneficiaries to access and use loans to create livelihoods, jobs, improve income, and stabilize lives. Having achieved the above results, there is no denying the important role of socio-political organizations at all levels, which has always closely coordinated with VBSP.
In the following time, the VBSP branch in the province and the mass organizations will continue to organise the effective implementation of the Government's credit programs, which well-performing the role of the assigned political tasks and the contents of documents signed agreed between VBSP and socio-political organizations. Hence, it will precisely understand, contribute positively to improving credit quality, the efficiency of loan use, etc., offering to the transmission of this credit channel to the best performance in the locality.
