Over more than 22 years of development, especially during the 10 years of implementing Directive No. 40-CT/TW on strengthening the Party’s leadership over social policy credit, the social policy credit activities of VBSP Nam Dan District have truly proven effective.

With the active participation of Party committees, government authorities, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations at all levels, there has been unified action and strong coordination. This has mobilized and leveraged the collective strength of the entire political system in implementing policy credit programs, significantly contributing to the realization of national target programs on sustainable poverty reduction, new-style rural development and socio-economic advancement.

As of March 30, 2025, total outstanding loans in Nam Dan reached VND 584.3 billion with nearly 8,000 active borrowers under 12 different programs - an increase of VND 274 billion compared to the time before Directive No. 40-CT/TW was issued. These remarkable results stem from the Nam Dan District VBSP’s commitment to solidarity, dynamism and innovation, with high determination and decisive action. Local authorities and entrusted mass organizations have closely followed the Party’s guidelines and the Government’s direction, concentrated resources and vigorously implemented policy credit programs.

Mr. Nguyen Sy Hai - Director of VBSP Nam Dan District stated that the bank consistently creates favorable conditions for all eligible households to access preferential credit. Each year, the unit aligns its operations with the local development goals for OCOP (One Commune One Product), expanding production and product lines. Thanks to these loans, many households have confidently invested in equipment, scaled up production, expanded markets and improved the quality of OCOP products. This has helped increase incomes, improve living standards, create jobs and drive socio-economic development across the locality.

Various economic models have enabled local people to build better lives

Stories of escaping poverty thanks to policy credit have become vivid testaments to the effectiveness of this meaningful program. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chien - Head of the Savings and Credit Group (Hamlet 3, Nam Anh Commune) proudly introduced the household carpentry workshop of Mr. Bui Van Hoa - a small facility that has created stable jobs and incomes for two local workers. What makes this story even more remarkable is that Mr. Hoa was once an inmate who served over six years in prison due to a past mistake. Today, he works tirelessly and passionately alongside buzzing saw machines that run at full capacity.

Mr. Hoa shared: “A year ago, I was released early and returned to my family and community. At that very moment, a 'lifeline' appeared when I received a preferential loan of VND 100 million from VBSP Nam Dan District. With this inclusive fund, I decided to open a household carpentry workshop in my hometown. As a skilled craftsman, I confidently used the entire loan to purchase one large saw, 14 small saws and three planers. My life has gradually stabilized. This policy credit program is like a fresh breeze blowing into my life. It’s not just about the money, it’s about the trust and support from the Party and the Government. It gave me the belief that I could change my life”.

The tangible impacts of preferential credit underscore the sound direction of the Party and the State in promoting economic development in tandem with sustainable poverty reduction and social security assurance. VBSP Nam Dan aims to simplify procedures, diversify services, promote digital transformation and modernize operations, ensuring better access to credit for local people.
United in action and committed to progress,
VBSP Nam Dan continues working tirelessly to help build a model new-style rural district, laying firm foundations for a stronger Vietnam.
