In the early 2004, through veterans association in Boc Bo commune, he was lent VND 10 million of a preferential loan from the credit program for the poor to invest in pig rearing and this brought about initial fruitful results for him.
From such results, in 2008, he continued to be lent more VND 30 million by VBSP to improve integrated farming system (garden-pond-livestock and forest). With his hard work together with boldly applying science and technology in production as well as effectively using of the loan, until now, his family has own a large fish pond of over 1,000 square meters, earning an income of VND ten million. Besides, his family also raised chickens, pigs and planted eight hectares of forest. Mr. Quach Van Giai said: “Previously, my family was always in difficult situation, however, thanks to the supports of local agencies, especially preferential loans and study tours in many other areas, now I have my own farm and household economic development. Our life is now stable, my children are good students, and my family can buy some furniture and facilities comfortable for living (television, motorcycle) and for production (tractors, mowers)”
